Eric Carr the genius 8bit game designer and developer who created Five Card Stud and Fujitzee, two of the first and most polished multi-platform, multi-client games for use with FujiNet (they run on Coco, Atari, Apple2, C64) has just ported over his latest game Battleship to Atari. Battleship has been available for a few weeks on Coco, and very playable. With the Atari release now available I anticipate a lot more gameplay happening in the FGS (FujiNet Game System).
What I can say about this game other than to go and play it yourself as soon as possible. You can launch the game from the FGS Lobby, and you can reach the Lobby from within Fujinet’s CONFIG app by pressing the “L” key. The Lobby presents all the available games and will indicate if there are other human players currently playing. If you are good with AI just pick an AI room. If you must have some human competition just hop into the Discord and ask in the General channel if anyone wants to join you in a quick game. The game play is great and it’s just like you would expect a game of Battleship to be like on your favorite 8bit.
